Out of Susan and Douglas's kilns have come thousands of unique hand-made ceramic pieces, now incorporated into buildings as diverse as: Glasgow's Gallery of Modern Art; Mount Stuart on the Isle of Bute; Ayr hospital; numerous restaurants and drinking establishments, as well as the private homes of hundreds of appreciative clients throughout the British Isles and around the world.

As a genuinely affordable alternative to the sameness of mass-produced ceramics, Susan and Douglas present in their work a refreshing vision of individuality, and a belief in a better relationship between the roles of "maker" and "consumer".
In an unusual twist of the exhibition concept, a number of visitors to this event also participated as "makers" by creating a ceramic tile themselves!
