Digital ceramic tiles: birch woodland

These tiles were made using the innovative materials and processes involved in the remarkable digital ceramic printing technique developed at Edinburgh Ceramics.
Full colour digital photographs of birch trees in green woodland were reworked in Photoshop, then printed in ceramic colours to achieve total image permanence. This woodland in warm colours includes details of ferns and the grazing animals in a nearby field. A permanent reminder of a day out in the Scottish Borders.
