Digital Ceramic Tiles: experimental tile panel
Nine 100 x 100mm vitreous ceramic tiles were fired with this image, as part of a colour-comparison experiment during the period when Edinburgh Ceramics' was exploring different techniques of digital ceramic image-making.

A digital photograph of Edinburgh's skyline was used for this project. A unique image of a well known city landmark, the recently demolished gas tower at Granton, has been captured forever by this ceramic process. This image includes the view to the north, across the Firth of Forth, towards the hills of Fife.
